The Power Office line-interactive UPS provides reliable battery backup and power protection for electronic devices from brief blackouts, brownouts, overvoltages, under voltages, and surges. The automatic voltage regulation feature adjusts minor voltage fluctuations and maintains constant voltage levels to connected equipment for a better user experience. The segmented power switch is an energy-saving solution to turn off power to one side of the UPS when unused. If a blackout occurs or a power disruption beyond the tolerance range is detected, the UPS will switch over to battery power and supply these outlets with power. Connect mission-critical electronics to these outlets. (6) Surge-Protected Outlets Connect non-critical equipment to these outlets to protect the equipment from power surges and voltage spikes. Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) Automatically boosts or bucks minor voltage irregularities instead of switching to battery backup mode. By regulating the output voltage rather than using the battery, the UPS prolongs the lifespan of your battery and protects connected equipment against spikes, surges, brownouts, minor overvoltages and under voltages, and temporary blackouts. The more boosts and bucks there are, the wider the acceptable input voltage range is, which will decrease the need to switch to battery power, therefore prolonging the lifespan of your battery. This series offers a two-step boost and one-step buck AVR functions. Segmented Power Switch & Master Switch This UPS has a master switch to control power to the whole unit and a segmented power switch to control the Surge-Only Outlets. Turn off power to the Surge-Only Outlets when unused to conserve energy. The segmented power switch is also a secondary surge breaker switch in case of overload on the Surge-Only Outlets for additional protection for connected equipment. Overload Protection Protects the UPS from an overload. If the circuit breaker trips, unplug a few electronics before resetting the circuit breaker and turning your unit back on. (2) USB Charging Ports Charge up to two small electronic devices simultaneously with the Type A ports (total 2.1A). Constant-Current Constant-Voltage (CC/CV) Charging System The battery is charged at a faster rate when the battery level is low. The charging system then reduces the charging rate as the battery becomes fully charged to avoid over-charging the battery. Phone / Network / Fax Line Suppression (RJ-11/45 Ports) Protects telephone, network, or fax lines from line surges. Connect one line into the jack from the source and one line from the out jack to your phone, network, or fax line. Cold Start Capable Turn on the UPS even without utility power as long as there is sufficient battery power. Auto-Restart During AC Recovery Once power returns to normal and the battery levels are sufficient, the UPS will automatically restart. Off-Mode Charging The UPS continues charging the internal batteries when powered off as long as the unit is plugged into an AC mains wall socket. (6) LED Status Indicators LEDs illuminate to indicate different UPS power conditions. AVR LED Indicator - This orange LED lights up with the UPS is operating with AVR function to boost or buck incoming voltage. Low Battery LED Indicator - This orange LED lights up when the UPS has approximately one minute backup time remaining (based on half-load capacity). Promptly and safely shut down any open applications; the UPS may turn off at any time. This LED may also indicate it is time to replace the UPS battery. Max. Load LED Indicator - This orange LED lights up when the maximum load capacity has been reached. Do not plug additional applications into the UPS. It is recommended to remove some applications to lighten the load. Fault Warning LED Indicator - This red LED lights up when the UPS detects a fault. Please check the Status Indicators table for additional information. On Battery LED Indicator - This orange LED lights up when the UPS is operating in Battery Mode. No power will be supplied to the Surge-Only Outlets when the UPS is running off Battery Mode as the UPS has detected an abnormal power condition with utility power.
